J Crew Factory Try On

While I was scouting items to add to my Leopard Style Board last week, I was really into a lot of the new arrivals I saw on the J. Crew Factory website they were bringing in for the fall. While Sutton was at pre-school today, I strapped Quint in the stroller and made a speedy run through the store and headed to the dressing room. Full disclosure here: I let him watch Disney World parades on my phone in between me stealing the phone away to snap these photos (gotta do what you gotta do!) Usually I take some videos of the items too so you can more details but it just wasn’t happening today with my little dictator demanding to resume his parade watching mere seconds after I snatched the phone away 😉

Almost all of these items are already reduced by 30% but in case there is an item that isn’t, you can take 20% off of regular priced items (and clearance items) if you spend $100 or more with the code: REWARDSPERK.

Sizing note: I do find J. Crew Factory to run pretty TTS in tops, large in skirts, TTS in denim (maybe even ever so slightly big) and generous in dresses. I have linked the items below each photo as well as everything at the bottom of the post.

Tweed Top with High Rise 9” Skinny Jeans in Rinse Wash

I always love a classic tweed piece and since its rarely cool enough to wear a tweed jacket here, this is a great way to participate. Its a more lightweight tweed and I loved the frayed hem on the sleeves. I sized down in this top, thinking it would be a better fit but wished I would have gone with my normal size as it would look better with a boxier looking fit. I liked the rinse wash denim with this to give it a more dressy look and I think it would look great with nude heels, strappy sandals or even tan loafer.

Turtleneck Sweater Tank and High Rise 9” Skinny Jeans in Dark Wash

Green is on trend for fall and just like the short sleeve tweed top, this sleeveless side split turtleneck is ideal for warmer weather fall climates. It also comes in a pretty light blue shade and I think it would look great untucked with a pencil skirt, too. I paired it with these button front pants and liked tucking in the front to expose the buttons. Would look adorable with leopard mules and big gold or tortoise accessories.

Turtleneck Sweater with Dolman Sleeves

Another sweater, but I passed by it two times before I finally picked it up and I’m glad I did. It’s a really feminine silhouette with the detail on the shoulder and a dolman sleeve. Its a thinner material but would still keep you warm. I would also wear this with a skirt and boots or even a boyfriend style jean with sneakers for a more casual look.

Chambray Perfect Fit Button Down and Corduroy Mini Skit

If you don’t already have a chambray button up in your closet, this is a REALLY good one. Has great structure that is a tailored fit and is the perfect denim shade. This olive toned corduroy mini skirt could be worn so many ways with a casual t-shirt, over sized sweater or like I have it here with a button down tucked in or tied up in the front. It comes in a few other colors (you’ll see the mustard one make an appearance below) and I would suggest sizing down if you plan to wear it at your waist. If you want to wear it around just above your hips, stick to your normal size. I would love brown riding boots, leopard loafers or a cute sneaker with this outfit.

Leopard Pencil Skirt

Had to try the chambray shirt on with this cotton leopard pencil skirt! I would suggest sizing down as it seems to run slightly large in the waist (where it is mean to be worn).

Long Sleeve Leopard Drapey Tie Neck Top

Ok, THIS TOP! This came home with me because I think it is such a great item that is super versatile if you want to participate in the leopard trend. Great with jeans, perfect with a skirt (you’ll see it below), a tailored pant or pretty much everything. You could make it as casual or dressy of an outfit as you liked and the fit was really great. I found it was TTS and I really liked it with these dark rinse skinny jeans (and wished i would have had a pair of black strappy heels to wear with it here.

Ruffle Neck Peasant Dress

Another beautiful leopard piece, this is the same material as the shirt above and is really flattering. Would be so cute with a denim jacket draped over your shoulders with sneakers or dress it up with black booties or heels and some bold earrings for a more formal occasion. I would size down 1 size if you want it to be more fitted in the waist but I am wearing my normal size here and it still fit nicely.

Had to use this top again! Loved it with the mustard mini skirt! Not much else to say about both of these pieces as I’ve already covered them but don’t you just love this print and color together?

Let me know if you have any questions on sizing or anything else. I’m always happy to help anyway I can!
