Trunks // White Rash Guard //Sun Hat // Pink Swimsuit c/o Hermoza// Pink Rashguard // Pink Bottoms
Ahhh…swimsuit season. It’s a love hate relationship, right? The love of slow summer days spent by the water is always a joy but I’d venture to say most women don’t love putting on bathing suit. We all have our areas of concern we are trying to cover or conceal and the hunt for the perfect suit can feel impossible at times. I thought it would be helpful highlight an array of swimsuit options based upon the areas of concern most women have. From chest support, full booty coverage, figure flattering silhouettes and even affordable options, I hope you can find something perfect for you for this summer season. Some of the suits qualify for multiple categories so be sure to read the captions for each suit. I will say, with good swimwear, you pay for what you get. An affordable option is not as near as likely to give you the support, coverage or high quality material as a higher priced option. As frugal as I can be when it comes to fashion, I splurge on my swimsuit. When you think how often you will wear it all summer, it really is a worthy investment. I have linked every suit and you can click on the image and it will take you to the website.
Long Torso
I really think one pieces are just overall problematic for those who have longer torso’s and would steer someone in the direction of a two piece. I’m 5’“9’ and sometimes have issues with this too when I wear one pieces as they can feel like they are pulling in the groin area. I did find this great brand (Andie) that offers their suits with a longer torso option. They have a fit finder quiz that allows you to select exactly what you are looking for and they generate the best option for you based upon what you entered. I haven’t worn this brand so I can’t speak to the quality but the price seems to be pretty good. It’s worth checking out!
Is this not the cutest suit ever? I want to order this one for myself and its currently on sale for 50% off!
I know this one looks a little matronly at first glance, but I think it could look really cute on. Great two piece that looks like a one piece to not have as much tugging if you have a long torso. I would also suggest this one who wants a full coverage top. No worry of any cleavage of falling out of your top with this!
Another two piece that looks like a one piece that is such a pretty silhouette. High waisted bottom and again, no tugging in the crotch area if you have a long torso.
Another cute tankini that has more of an athletic feel to it that also looks like a one piece. I would also include this in the chest coverage category with its high neck.
This is the Andie brand I mentioned above that comes in a long torso option. They have a few other styles but their color options are pretty basic with black, red, yellow and navy.
Bust Support for Larger Chests
This is definitely not my area of need or expertise, but I know underwire can be super helpful for larger busted women to help them feel lifted and supported. There are tons of underwire options that look just like a bra top but since this is geared more towards moms and modesty, I tried to find options that didn’t look like lingerie.
This is by Magicsuit and has underwire for those who need that extra support. I think this is such a beautiful, feminine suit and it also comes in a lovely fuchsia shade.
Same suit as above just in a different pattern (and wanted you to see the back. The tie is super cute and the zipper is a fun detail
I found it hard to find suits with underwire that didn’t look so much like a push up bra. To me, this was a great high neck option that still offers bust support.
I think this is such a fun take on a traditional rash guard. Probably not the most “support” but you are fully covered.
Smaller Chest
Wether you have lost it all from nursing babies or you just wern’t blessed with much to begin with…not being able to fill out a swimsuit top can be discouraging. Being a smaller chested person myself, I like to find something with ruffles to hide whats not there. Here are some great options if you don’t want to highlight what you are lacking 😉
I just love this suit. Perfect for summer or 4th of July. That big statement ruffle gives you a little volume at the bust.
Full Booty Coverage
Can I get an amen that the high cut, thong, barely there swim bottom trend is just the worst?!? Unless you haven’t been through puberty or you are just a blessed woman that has little to no fat in your booty area…most women don’t want their bottom hanging out. This is the biggest area of concern for myself and not only do I want coverage from behind, I also don’t want anything thats too high cut in the front.
This is such a great full coverage bottom with great ruching and a high rise. Its on sale and comes in many colors and I’d pair it with this top.
Great full coverage for your rear and love the high waist. This bottom also comes in black and you could mix and match so much with this bottom.
Great for covering your entire bum and this is also extremely figure flattering with the rouching in the mid section. Also comes in white
Hermoza calls this cut the “boy cut” which allows for more fabric on front and back of the bottom of the suit.
Another great full coverage bottom piece. I have linked the top to this suit here and it also comes in black.
Figure Shaping
Obviously swimsuits are form fitting but it is certainly nice when you can get something that creates the illusion of a smaller waist. Here are a few favorites that have flattering silhouettes:
I have this swimsuit and I love it Great booty coverage and overall just really figure flattering. You can wear this pregnant too because of the rouching in the midsection. Just order up a size.
Wearing this beautiful suit at the Calistoga Ranch pool during our trip last May (you can read about that here)
This is such a home run. Also comes in black. I ordered this one and had to send it back for a bigger size so size up!
The piping on this suit sculpts and enhances your figure. I think this is such a classic look, too. They recommend sizing up.
Another ruched bodice. This coms with a removable halter strap if you don’t want to wear it strapless
Not exactly figure shaping but if you want something that isn’t as form fitting, this is a cute option
Affordable Options
I know not everyone can afford a $100+ swimsuit so I wanted to be sure to include to lower priced options as well.
Sarong Coverups
I think this is such a cute coverup. Great price and you could pair it with practically any suit since its such a neutral color.
Adore this sarong. I would wear this when I’m not in the water since I prefer to keep my booty covered. Super chic.
This coverup is waterproof so I think you could keep this on even if you needed to jump in the pool without worrying about it looking soaked like a typical coverup.
I could link so many more but wanted to keep it more concise. Feel free to reach out if you don’t see something here and I’ll be happy to help you search for a suit suited for you 🙂
