5 Things I’m Getting During the Sephora Sale

IMG_7330.PNG

Beauty products and cosmetics seem to rarely go on sale, so when Sephora does their annual sale for Beauty Insiders, this is a good time to snag a few favorites at a discount. I don’t go crazy during this sale and honestly you can find actual beauty bloggers (I would suggest Kathleen Jennings or Lindsey Reagan Thorne) who create amazing guides that are way better than anything I could do. I thought I’d share the few items I plan to purchase with my 15% off discount. I’m a VIB member so I will get 15% off and anyone can sign up to be a Beauty Insider to get 10% off. The sale opens up to VIB and Beauty Insiders beginning today, May 2 and ends Monday, May 6.

Here’s my 5 items:

Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer

First up is the most amazing primer I have ever used. I had a sample of this I used about a month ago and could not get over how absolutely poreless my skin looked. I wouldn’t use this on a daily basis but when I need my makeup to last all day or attend an event, this is absolutely, in my opinion, the best primer out there. It’s pricey so grabbing it on sale is a win!

Nude Beautyblender

I have tried cheaper knock offs of a beautyblender, flat oval brushes and several other types of makeup brushes and nothing applies my foundation as flawlessly as the original Beautyblender. I replace mine about every 4 months so might as well grab one while its on sale. I like the nude one best just because I don’t like the way the pink one begins to look dirty sooner once you get makeup on it. The color really doesn’t matter…I just prefer the nude one.

Hourglass Arch Eyebrow Pencil

I wrote about this pencil in my makeup post and am running low on it so I would be buying a new one soon anyways. This products works well for me since my brows are already really thick so I don’t need precise looking strokes like the Anastasia brow wiz (which i’ve used in the past and is also really great). This blends in well with the spooly that is on the other end and last me almost 6 months, unlike the Anastasia one where I felt like I was replacing it every 10 weeks or so. I wear shade warm brunette.

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum

Ok, so I deviated from this product several months ago to try a different (cheaper) option that the sales clerk at Sephora suggested I try and I have to say….I miss the advanced night repair. Its not that I dislike the other product or even that its not effective… I just think the advanced night repair is just an overall better performing product. I alternate between this and the Sunday Riley Good Genes (which would also be a great purchase and I raved about it on my skincare post here) and believe this is such an effective and necessary items to have in your skincare line.

Fresh Sugar Petal Lip Treatment in shade Petal

I will never not wear this stuff. It’s my lip color of choice 98% of the time and I love the creamy formula that leaves my lips feeling hydrated and soft. The SPF is a must for me in my sunny florida climate and I keep two tubes at all times: one in my makeup kit and one in my purse. I would be silly not the buy it while its on sale!

So that’s whats in my cart!
