Holiday Lipstick Shades – PINK

It’s December! Now we can OFFICIALLY begin our Christmas celebrations.

Hopefully you were able to read my first post of this series of holiday lip colors where I reviewed a few red shades. Red’s can certainly be tough for some women to feel comfortable wearing so if you can’t quite venture into reds…pinks may be your gateway into a bolder lip color.

First up is Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Petal. I realize this isn’t a very bold pink but this is my most worn lip product as I use it as my everyday lip color. I couldn’t create a lipstick post and not include my holy grail favorite. I don’t care for my lips to feel dry and I love how hydrating this product is. I think this is the perfect shade of pink that leans more on the nude side of pink. I will probably wear this product the rest of my life because its that good. I give it a 10 out of 10.

Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lip Crème Lipstick in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang

Next up is a favorite that I don’t wear very often but it is my go too when I want a more vibrant pink that is still slightly muted. I  would describe Kiss Kiss Bang Bang as a raspberry pink that works well with cool undertones. The formula is pretty creamy which I love but it still has a bit of a matte finish. I do find it has the tendency to settle into the lines of my lips and can get a little thick if you apply too many layers on top of one another. I would give this a 7 out of 10.

NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in Pink Lust

I know this NYX Liquid suede in Pink Lust is a scary color for many of you but I just love a punchy pink! I wear this shade most often in the spring/summer months but I think it looks so pretty paired with kelly green and makes for a fun contrast when paired with red apparel. I have been more and more impressed with the quality of NYX products (their butter glosses are amazing) and you just can’t beat the price. I don’t wear many drugstore lip products because I’m funny about how things feel on my lips but this product passes my test. It can be a little sticky on lips for the first hour or so after applying but it has great lasting power and doesn’t settle into the fine lines of your lips. I would give this product an 8 our of 10.

I’ll round out my holiday lipstick picks with bronze tones for my final post so be on the look out for that soon!
