On our most recent trip to Disney World, we did something I’ve yet to do: hit 3 out of 4 parks all in one day! This might not be that big of a deal to some people but when you are navigating around with a double stroller and kids with the ages of 3 and under…I’d say thats a pretty impressive feat!

We arrived Sunday afternoon and just hung around the hotel before dinner that evening at 1901 Park Fare (which is the cutest character dining experience with Cinderella, Prince Charming, the Stepmother and two Step Sisters) . We stayed on property at the Contemporary resort and had an amazing castle view room. This was my first time staying there and I must say, the convenience of being able to walk to the magic kingdom (and catch the nighttime firework show from the comfort of your balcony!) is worth the extra expense to stay there.

Sutton had been talking about going back to the Disney Junior Dance Party that we did when we visited several weeks ago so we decided to head to Hollywood Studios first thing Monday morning. We arrived about 30 minutes before the rope drop (which was a first for us) so in order to keep the kids occupied waiting in a sea of people, we blew through the snacks I brought for the day in the first 20 minutes, ha!

The park opened at 9 and the DJDP didn’t start until 9:40 so we decided to head to Toy Story Land (along with evvvvverybody else who had gotten there early) to hopefully get in line to meet Woody and Jessie. We ended up changing plans and riding Toy Story Mania because the wait was only 5 minutes (and it can usually be as high as 120 min) and I am SO glad we did. I think this is one of my favorite rides now. They basically have combined Alien Swirling Saucers with Buzz Lightyear’s Ranger Spin for the ultimate arcade game meets bumper cars experience. All ages can ride it so I would definitely recommend this attraction for someone wanting to arrive early to check out Toy Story Land who’s kids are not tall enough to ride Slinky Dog Dash.

The DJDP just reopened about two months ago after being closed for a while and I think this is SUCH a fun attraction to take your pre-school aged kids to. It’s full of songs to disney shows they know and love, lots of dancing and several character appearances…including Mickey! There are bubbles, snow and confetti to keep things interesting for the entire duration of the 20 minute show. You can also meet the characters (Princess Sophia, Pluto, Doc McStuffins and Vamperina)  right outside the door (by waiting in line of course) so this is a great place to spend a good portion of time at Hollywood Studios with little kids since there really isn’t a ton of stuff to do at Hollywood Studios for little ones.

From there we took the bus to Magic Kingdom and rode the Mine Train. Sutton got to ride it twice with both myself and her Aunt since Quint wasn’t tall enough to ride and  one of us had to stay back with him. The rider switch program is a great thing to take advantage of if you have kids who don’t meet the height requirement but still want to ride the attraction with your older child. Basically it allows you to swap off with the parent watching the smaller children and enter through the fast past line and as a bonus…your child gets to ride twice! I was able to get Sutton to put her hands in the air for some of the ride and for the first time I think she REALLY enjoyed the Mine Train.

By this time it was around noon so we ordered lunch on the disney mobile app so we didn’t have to wait in line at the Pinocchio Village Haus restaurant next to Small World. If you are lucky enough to get a seat by the window that looks down into It’s a Small World, you can watch all the boats and wave them in as they begin their ride on the happiest cruise that ever sailed 🙂

From there, I took Quint back to the hotel for a nap (this is when being in walking distance to our hotel from the MK was AMAAAAAZING) and my aunt stayed back with Sutton. From 1:00-4:00 they met Rapunzel and Tiana, went to PhilharMagic, Voyage of The Little Mermaid, Peter Pan’s Flight and caught the end of the Festival of Fantasies parade.

They met back up with us at the hotel and we jumped on the monorail to Epcot for an early dinner at La Hacienda San Angel in the Mexico pavilion. We typically eat lunch at the quick service restaurant right next door, the Cantina, when we are at Epcot and I had heard the food at the Hacienda was amazing. And holy cow is was really good!  I had the Alambre and the classic margarita and I am already planning to go back there next time we are in Epcot for dinner.

The whole purpose for going to Epcot was Sutton’s request to ride The Three Caballeros so that was our first stop after dinner. My kids really love that ride and there is never a line so I don’t mind making the effort to get over there so they can enjoy it. It’s like the Mexican version of It’s s Small World that features Donald Duck so theres definitely nothing extravagant about it…but hey…my kiddos think its awesome so that means…I think its awesome too 😉

It was about 6:30 at this point so even though Quint had taken a nap, Sutton was starting to feel the fatigue from the day so we decided to make a quick walk around the world with a pit stop in France to the Les Halles for a pastry to round out the day. I had the eclair and my aunt had a chocolate croissant…both delish!

We didn’t make it back to our room in time to see the firework show for our second night but did catch a good portion of it while riding the resort monorail on our way back to the Contemporary. The kid’s crashed immediately upon their heads hitting the pillow and slept hard all night.

Tuesday morning we were greeted with 55 degree weather with rain so we opted just to head home instead of being miserably wet and cold trudging around the Magic Kingdom. Having an annual pass is such a perk on a day like this in that you don’t feel like you HAVE to go since you can come back another time.

So there you have it! 3 parks in 1 day with 2 kids 3 and under! We walked 20,000 steps that day so we certainly earned those french pastries we indulged in that evening!
