Last week, we spent three days in Orlando to celebrate Quint turning 4! We used to be regular visitors to Disney and have stayed at many on Disney hotels, but this was our first time staying at the Four Seasons Orlando at Walt Disney World. It is on property at Disney and they offer their own shuttle to the parks. I had high expectations since the Four Seasons is known for providing a 5 star experience, but to say I was blown away is truly an understatement.
It is truly the most luxurious experience without sacrificing a kid friendly environment. From little details like a footstool in the bathroom to bring kids up to counter height to brush their teeth and wash their hands to putting a diaper genie in our bathroom because they knew we were traveling with an infant…those are just a few of the examples of how they catered to our families needs.
One aspect that I found to be particularly helpful is that there is a Disney cast member stationed in the lobby to assist with any Disney specific needs or questions. This was so helpful for us as that we initially had planned to visit will call prior to entering the park to verify our florida residence for our passes, but we were able to do that right there in the hotel. Talk about a huge time save for us, especially since we would have waited in a long line with the kids otherwise.
Our room was beautiful and large enough for our family of 5. We stayed in the Golden Oak View Room, which had stunning sunrise view every morning. The room was comfy and spacious enough with a large bathroom/closet space where we slept Griffin in a portable crib. The little luxuries like a TV in the bathroom mirror, an incredible shower (that I could have stayed in for an hour!) and heavenly scented soaps and lotions, our room felt like an oasis within an oasis.
We enjoyed room service for dinner both nights (it was just easier for us to do that with an already tired 9 month old) and grabbed breakfast and coffee at Lickity Split both mornings. I wish we could have stayed an entire week to get to experience all the various dining options they have right there on property as that everything we ate was delicious.
The pool area was truly spectacular with enough to do that we could have easily spent an entire day there bouncing from the various pools, lazy river, water slides, a rock wall, basketball & volleyball courts and a splash pad. The staff was also so attentive and went the extra mile to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We literally walked up, they asked where we would like to sit and escorted us to our chairs that were quickly serviced with towels and ice water. I can’t tell you how nice this was as a mom!
I also really loved being able to easily correspond with the hotel staff through the Four Seasons app. We realized we needed some extra pillows around 11 o clock at night and within just a few minutes, someone was at our door with different types of extra pillows to ensure we had what we needed to get a good nights sleep.
Safety is obviously a huge concern during the hotel has taken plenty of extra measures to ensure that contact in limited and that there are plenty of sanitizing stations are located all throughout the building. Masks are required to be worn inside for guests 10 and up and your temperature is scanned upon entry to the hotel each time. I’m not sure if they are operating at limited capacity or not but the hotel was not very crowded, which was really nice.
Kids for All Seasons, their complimentary kids club for ages 4-12 is open with limited hours ( 10-noon and 1-5) and you can arrange for a babysitter for younger children through their sitting service they contract through, Sunshine Sitters. We were at the parks during the time of operation so we weren’t able to utilize this wonderful service, but I imagine the both the adults and the kids would enjoy it! You can even do “schoolcation” with your child if you are currently doing virtual learning which is such a cool concept to be able to vacation while still accomplishing your daily schoolwork.
My only regret is that we didn’t stay at least one additional day to fully enjoy the property, since we spent most of the daytime hours at the parks. If you choose to stay at the Four Seasons for your Disney vacations, I would say its a must to take a day (or two!) off from the park to soak in everything this incredible resort has to offer. We could not stop talking about how amazing of a respite it felt for our family after this long year of staying home a lot to be able to feel safe and comfortable at such a beautiful place. Its only a 2 hour drive for us so we are already discussing when we can plan for our next trip there for what is arguably the best family friendly resort we visited in our area.
They are currently offering an Advance Purchase Offer, which saves you up to 20% over select dates when you book and prepay for your trip at least 7 days out and here are some details about their spring break programming: Splash into Springtime Family Fun at Four Seasons Resort Orlando. Their value offer rates starts May 1 with the Fourth Night Free package until Sept. 30.
