I’m coming off a blissful weekend away with Dwight as we escaped for a 24 hour getaway to Orlando for a wedding. I officially felt so old though as my thoughts about “how young the bridal party looked” filled my mind during the ceremony. I was a spry 23 years old when Dwight and I got married (he was 28) so I’m sure people thought the same thing about me! Child bride status, no doubt.
We were so grateful to call the Four Seasons Orlando our home for the night as it really is our favorite hotel when we are in the Orlando area. We’ve stayed there in the past with the kids for a Disney trip so this was our first time visiting for an adults only trip. Let me tell you, even though they are the best on-property luxury hotel for Walt Disney World guests to choose in my opinion, it is equally as wonderful of a destination if you are merely just looking for a relaxing getaway for adults only.
In the short time we spend there, we were able to soak in some serenity with a delicious breakfast, a visit to the adults only pool for some cabana lounging and just enjoying the beautiful grounds as we explored the property at our own leisurely pace.
We were greeted with chocolate covered strawberries and wine upon arrival and we were particularly impressed that the front desk attendant asked us where Sutton, Quint and Griffin were (by name!) upon check in. Their personal attention to detail with their guests is so very impressive.
It was nice to take our time getting ready (the bathroom is so fabulous) and our car was brought around promptly upon our request as we scurried out of our room to make it to the ceremony on time.
We decided to head back to the hotel early into the evening to take advantage of an early bed time (and a late sleep in) and I must say, the beds at the Four Seasons are truly some of my favorite. Plush and cozy feels like inadequate words to fully describe it.
Breakfast was at Ravello, our first time dining there and we had avocado toast and an egg/potato/bacon plate. The hash brown was the most amazing 5”x5” thick crispy potato perfection…hands down best I’ve ever had!
The weather wasn’t the greatest, slightly chilly and rainy, for most of the morning so we snuck out in the moments of clear skies to sit at the adults only pool. Thankfully the cabanas were the perfect umbrella for us to hide from the rain when little rain showers would pass over.
I really can’t recommend Four Seasons Orlando enough for really any destination that may take you to Orlando. It is equally as family friendly as it is a luxurious getaway for adults only!
