Master Bathroom Before & After

I am realizing that if I wait until each room from our renovation feels “complete” before I share any photos, I may never share them! I figured our master bath, while still not decorated, is probably the next room (after our kitchen) that I can share the before and after photos.

I wanted this space to be bright and airy, with lots of white and chrome/polished nickel finishes. Just like our kitchen, I chose silver tones instead of the current trend of bronze, because I felt it was more timeless. I also went with marble countertops instead of quartz, unlike I did in our kitchen, since this is an adult only space.

Due to the, ehem, “fiasco”, that was the first half of our renovation, we were short on budget to do a lot of the extra things like crown molding and additional trim work in the bathroom that will have to be an addition later on down the road. The window was never supposed to be frosted, but alas, it happened so we may fix that in the future as well.

I have a few ideas for how I would like to finish the space which include;

-a cafe curtain over the window

-a piece of art on the big empty wall where the bathtub is.

-wainscoting along the half wall of the shower

-a vanity chair. I’m currently just using an old dining chair but this one from Ballard in the Amari Blue fabric is what I would love to get.

-mayyyybe wallpaper. As you will see, the old bathroom had wallpaper, which is actually on trend for now…but I just fear that the wallpaper fad is going to look dated and I have nightmares of removing it in the future! Beadboard or wainscoting on the wall behind the bathtub is also an idea

I only took one photo before so hopefully its enough to show the full extent of what we did. So here we go, the before and after photos of our master bath!
